Crime News: In a heartbreaking incident from Ghaziabad, a young man named Salim ended his life, leaving behind a video message that pointed to betrayal and blackmail as the reasons for his tragic decision. Salim, a resident of Sultanpur village in Muradnagar, Ghaziabad, met Shabana a year ago. Their relationship seemed promising at first, and they decided to live together. However, on June 29, Shabana filed a complaint against her husband, accusing him of raping her stepdaughter. Salim supported Shabana in her quest for justice, assisting her with filing the report and other legal procedures.

Twist in the tale

After Shabana’s husband was jailed, Shabana began pressuring Salim to persuade her daughter to withdraw the rape allegations. Salim refused, which led to further complications. Aslam and Liaqat, residents of Idgah Colony, called Salim to their office and threatened him, warning that he would be jailed on false charges if he did not comply.

Final blow

Shabana, who had once seemed like a partner, turned against Salim. She began blackmailing him with personal pictures, causing Salim immense distress. Unable to bear the threats and the fear of public humiliation, Salim consumed poison, recording a video before his death. In the video, he named Shabana, Aslam, and Liaqat as the culprits behind his extreme step. This video quickly went viral on social media.

Legal actions on accused

Salim’s brother, Gulzar, filed a complaint of abetment to suicide at Muradnagar police station. The police, led by DCP Chandra Yadav, took immediate action after the video surfaced. They started investigating the case, particularly focusing on the allegations that some police officers might have been complicit in falsely implicating Salim. One of the accused, Liaqat, has been taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
