Garhi Sampla-Kiloi Election 2024: Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, a key constituency in Haryana, has been under the leadership of Congress veteran and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for the past 24 years. Based on the latest trends, Hooda is poised for yet another comfortable victory, with a massive vote margin.
Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is the Congress’ chief ministerial candidate in Haryana, is all set to secure his seventh consecutive term from his bastion in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi. Hooda has been representing this seat since the 2000 Assembly elections and remains a dominant figure in the region's political landscape.
As vote counting for the Haryana Assembly elections continues, trends from the Election Commission show that Hooda has established a lead of 41,077 votes against BJP's candidate, Manju. Hooda has secured 56,875 votes so far, while the BJP's Manju has garnered 15,798 votes, indicating a strong mandate in Hooda's favor.
Voting across Haryana’s 90 Assembly seats took place in a single phase on October 5, and the counting of votes is currently underway. Early results indicate that the BJP is on track for a record third consecutive term, with the party leading in 49 seats—surpassing the majority mark of 46.
Despite exit polls predicting a majority for the Congress in Haryana, the party currently lags behind the BJP with leads in just 35 constituencies. This shift has raised questions about the accuracy of exit poll forecasts and suggests a more competitive race than anticipated.
