PM Modi officially ended the conference by handing Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva a ceremonial gavel. Brazil will assume leadership of the alliance on December 1. All these initiatives are part of the Brazilian presidency motto which says ‘creating a fair world and a sustainable planet.’ President Lula announced the formation of two task forces: the worldwide coalition against hunger and poverty and the global mobilisation against climate change.
