Amid the soaring success of Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter, with an emotional message. On Sunday, PM Modi concluded the G20 Summit and gave Brazil the rotating chair of the bloc. SRK hailed PM Modi hours after the fantastic event.

Shah Rukh tweeted, “Congratulations to Hon. PM @narendramodi ji for the success of India’s G20 Presidency and for fostering unity between nations for a better future for the people of the world. It has brought in a sense of honor and pride into the hearts of every Indian. Sir, under your leadership, we will prosper not in isolation but in Oneness. One Earth, One Family, One Future.”

Jawan’s mammoth feat

Jawan has made waves all over Box-Office and the internet by crossing ₹200 crore at the Indian box office. The action thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan made ₹240.47 crore in two days globally. SRK additionally gathered headlines with his pre-climax monologue on elections in Jawan, which made fans and netizens speculate whether he was directly or indirectly making a political statement.

More on G20 Summit

PM Modi officially ended the conference by handing Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva a ceremonial gavel. Brazil will assume leadership of the alliance on December 1. The Brazilian president remarked, “I want to congratulate Brazil’s president and my friend Lula da Silva, and hand over the presidency’s gavel to him.” “Social inclusion and the battle against hunger are the first two of Brazil’s three G20 priorities. Second, the three facets of sustainable development and energy transition… The third is the overhaul of international governing bodies.”

All these initiatives are part of the Brazilian presidency motto which says ‘creating a fair world and a sustainable planet.’ President Lula announced the formation of two task forces: the worldwide coalition against hunger and poverty and the global mobilisation against climate change.
