Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the top world leaders during the session of G20 Summit on Saturday announced that consensus has been built on New Delhi G20 Leaders’ Summit Declaration and has been adoption.

PM Modi, who is chairing the presidency of the G20 sessions, congratulated the Sherpas and ministers who had worked towards forging the consensus.

“I have received good news. Due to the hard work of our team, consensus has been built on New Delhi G20 Leaders’ Summit Declaration. My proposal is to adopt this leadership declaration. I announce to adopt this declaration. On this occasion, I congratulate my Sherpa, ministers, who worked hard for it and made it possible,” he said.

The acceptance of the declaration was welcomed with thumping the desks of members.

According to the sources, the consensus will focus of five points, which are:

  • Strong, Sustainable, Balanced, and Inclusive Growth
  • Accelerating Progress on Sustainable Development Goals
  • Green Development Pact for a Sustainable Future
  • Multilateral Institutions for the 21st Century
  • Reinvigorating Multilateralism
  • PM Modi also said that this declaration has the potential to give new direction to the entire world.
