Four Army personnel, including Captain Brijesh Thapa, were killed during a fierce gunfight with terrorists in Doda district in three weeks. This attack is the third major terror incident in the Jammu region within three weeks. The terrorists involved are believed to be part of the Pakistan-based banned outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).

Mihir Shah, the primary suspect in the Worli hit-and-run incident, was placed in judicial custody for 14 days on Tuesday. Shah was arrested on July 9, after accusations of crashing his BMW into a scooter, which killed a woman.
