1. Terrorists attack on military vehicle in J-K's Kathua, five soldiers killed

Terrorists attacked an army vehicle in the Billawar region of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on Monday. According to reports, the attackers fired from a hilltop and also threw grenades at the vehicle. Six army personnel sustained injury in the attack. They have been rushed to the hospital.

2. Russia: PM Modi lands in Moscow, here's what to expect from his meet with President Putin

Following his arrival in Moscow on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin will have summit-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Excited groups of Indian residents in Russia, together with Russian dance groups performing dandiya, were ready to welcome him outside the hotel where he is scheduled to stay for his two-day official visit. President Putin and Modi will meet for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit in Moscow. The negotiations will produce "concrete deliverables," according to Vinay Kumar, the Indian envoy to Russia.

4. CM Hemant Soren secures confidence vote, retains power in Jharkhand assembly

On Monday, the Hemant Soren government secured a vote of confidence in the Jharkhand Assembly, while the Opposition staged a walkout in protest. In the 81-member Assembly, 45 MLAs voted in favour of the confidence motion. However, independent legislator Saryu Roy abstained from the voting process.

5. Former Jharkhand CM Champai Soren takes oath in Hemant govt

7. Will drag him like...: Victim's husband lashes out on accused Mihir Shah in BMW hit-and-run case

The 24-year-old Mihir Shah will face severe consequences, according to the husband of a 45-year-old woman who was killed in a BMW hit-and-run event in Worli, Mumbai, on Monday. He threatened to "drag the driver" in the same manner that his wife was "dragged."  He claimed that if the driver of the automobile had used the brakes sooner, his wife may have been rescued.
