As of Wednesday, the IMD reported that the monsoon has covered the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal entirely. In addition to the emergency, the curriculum will also feature lessons on prominent figures like Veer Savarkar, Lord Ram, and Lord Krishna, as well as other historical and religious content. According to the details, the chapter will explain the ‘excesses and repression’ that happened during the Emergency, which was imposed in 1975 by the ruling government - Congress. As per Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the decision has been taken to make the present generation understand the struggle people faced during the ‘Emergency’ period from 1975 to 1977.
