1. Hathras: Major stampede leaves over 116 dead including women, horrific visuals surface

There is tragic news out of Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district. A stampede that killed 116 individuals who had come to this location for a Satsang died and left 8 injured. The Chief Medical Officer of Etah affirmed this. The research indicates that a stampede during Bhole Baba's satsang caused this accident. Among the deceased were over 25 women in all.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, the activists have geared up for a new round of protests this week in Kenya. The number of those slain while protesting against several controversial tax increases that have since been retracted was nearly twice as high as previously revealed by the government, according to a Monday announcement by the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR).

According to the sources, the NBW was issued by the special CBI court on June 29, by Judge SP Nail Nimbalkar, with a detailed order on Monday. Considering his status as a ‘fugitive,’ the court has emphasized the necessity of his presence, citing various NBWs against him.

7. Delhi High Court to rule on Arvind Kejriwal's plea against CBI arrest today

The Delhi High Court is set to hear AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal's plea against his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday. A bench led by Justice Neena Bansal Krishna will preside over the petition, which was filed on Monday. Arvind Kejriwal, who was initially arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, faced further legal troubles when the CBI arrested him in June. This action by the CBI followed a local court's decision to grant Kejriwal bail in the money laundering case related to the same excise policy.

8. Historic heatwave: Hottest June in 123 years, July to bring new weather concerns

As the monsoon season begins across India, many regions are experiencing relief from the intense heat. However, Delhi continues to battle humid and oppressive weather. The severe heat in June has resulted in numerous fatalities, highlighting the extreme conditions faced by the country this summer. On Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that India endured 536 heatwave days this summer, the highest number recorded in 14 years. The northwestern region, in particular, experienced its hottest June since 1901. IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, in a virtual press conference, revealed that June 2010 previously held the record for the most heatwave days.
