Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently engaged in a conversation with the Founder of Microsoft Bill Gates covering a lot of topics like AI, Technology, G20, steps for climate change, and more. Exploration of India's Success in Fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic, highlighting self-reliance in crucial healthcare situations and how the Statue of Unity stands strong with Indian values with each passing day.

1. No Monopoly - India has democratized technology

PM Modi discussed how India is becoming a key role player in the digital revolution. Modi brought attention to the curiosity factor of people globally looking up to India during the G20 summit in Indonesia. He also stated that he wants to curb the idea of digital divide in the country. 

2. Women shouldn't be limited to the old age tasks

Modi expressed that women in India are relatively more open to adopting new technology. He stated that women should be the pilots of the psychological change that needs to be brought into society. Initiatives like 'Namo Drone Didi' were also highlighted promoting technology in agriculture allowing 3 crore women to earn 1lakh per annum.

3. Language Barrier? AI is the solution

PM Modi also cited the integration of AI in various lookouts of governance, how AI is bringing change in sectors like health, agriculture, and education, and how it is being used in the 2023 G20 Summit. He also mentioned how AI in real-time translated his Hindi Speech into Tamil during a cultural event.

4.  Deepfake Technology - Regulations and do's and don't's

While conversing with Gates, Modi underlined the importance of challenges that are being posed by AI, like deepfake technology. He suggested measures like comprehensive training for the common man for AI systems, watermarking the AI-generated visuals, and a legal framework that should be established.

5. Hydrogen Boat - Green Hydrogen!

PM Modi also addressed how India is progressing in renewable energy and its further advancements in Green Hydrogen. He brought the spotlight to the launch of a hydrogen-powered boat in Tamil Nadu as a crucial step. ' It can be brought to the Kashi-Ayodhya Route to support the Clean Ganga Initiative' he stated.

6. The 'Aai-AI reference'

PM Modi in the conversation, brought a reference of  'aai' and 'AI'. He exclaimed that in many households in India, children refer to their mom as 'aai' from childhood and now in the changing times, a kid knows both 'AI and aai' from a very young age. 

7. Modern problems require modern solutions

Modi and Gates in a series of questions discussed Data Privacy as a serious concern globally and how data security should be of utmost priority. They also intimated how technology has helped people get rid of the middleman system. Assurance should be given by the research companies to the common man who uses their data and agreements should be transparent.
