Friendly rivalry: Indian, French forces clash in Tug-of-War at joint military drill; Watch viral video

Battle of legendary proportions! The Indian military and French military joined hand at 'Shakti 2024' for military practice at Meghalya's Umroi, where the soliders decided to engage ina friendly brawl of Tug-Of-War. 

Match of valor

The video of the friendly match surfaced on the internet, showcasing both the soldiers of the Indian and French armies competing with each other. According to a news release, the 7th iteration of the India-France Joint Military Exercise SHAKTI took place in the Foreign Training Node in Meghalaya from May 13–26, 2024.

Combined training!

Enhancing both sides' combined military capability to conduct multi-domain operations in a sub-conventional setting under Chapter VII of the UN Mandate was the major objective of Exercise SHAKTI. 

Mobilating opperations 

According to the press release, the joint exercise concentrated on operations in a semi-urban and hilly environment. It further stated that the two nations were able to exchange best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures for carrying out joint operations thanks to Exercise SHAKTI.
