A gruesome murder case has come to light in Bihar's Munger district, where the corpse of a 20-year-old bride, Amisha Kumari, was found in a toilet tank. The crime was committed in Sajuwa Kushwaha Tola under the jurisdiction of the Asarganj police station area. The police found the body of the victim late Sunday evening, four days after she went missing. Her mother-in-law and husband, Ashish Kumar, have been arrested for the crime.

Murder suspected after missing complaint

Amisha, daughter of Ashok Kumar Singh of Dharmapur village under the Shambhuganj police station area, had got married to Ashish Kumar, son of Nandkishore Singh, two years ago in a love marriage. On March 6, Amisha's relatives were shocked with a disturbing phone call from her in-laws that she had gone missing as of midnight on February 5. Her mother was alarmed by the news and filed a missing case with the Asarganj police station the very next day. She also accused her daughter of being regularly tortured at home by her husband.

Gruesome discovery in toilet tank

After an inquiry, police raided Ashish Kumar's house at Sajuwa Kushwaha Tola. To their dismay, they discovered the body of Amisha buried in a toilet tank behind the house. The body was taken for postmortem in Munger after recovery.

Police have arrested Ashish Kumar, Amisha's husband, and her mother for their suspected roles in the crime. They are under interrogation as part of the investigation. Authorities are investigating to see if there were more people involved in the crime.

Amisha was said to be studying a GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course in Tata in Jharkhand and was due to sit for her exams on March 10. Her husband was also working in a private firm in Tata.

Legal action and further investigation

Police authorities from various stations have collated details of the case and are scrutinizing each angle closely. The news of the unexpected murder has created fear waves in the region, and the authorities are determined to bring justice to the victim.
