Former RJ, influencer Simran Singh found dead in Gurugram flat, police suspects suicide

In a heartbreaking incident, former radio jockey and popular Instagram influencer Simran Singh was found dead in her flat in Sector 47, Gurugram, on Wednesday, December 25. The 25-year-old, who was a beloved figure online with over 682K followers, was discovered hanging in her residence, and the Gurugram Police have initiated an investigation into the case.

Authorities suspect suicide

Preliminary reports suggest that Simran's death may have been a suicide, although the investigation is ongoing. According to police, a close friend who was staying with her at the time alerted authorities about the tragic event. Remembering 'Jammu Ki Dhadkan'

Simran, originally from the Jammu region, was affectionately known as 'Jammu Ki Dhadkan' (The Heartbeat of Jammu) by her fans. Her vibrant personality and captivating presence on Instagram had earned her a dedicated following. Despite her active online presence, her last Instagram post was on December 13, where she shared a reel of herself in a peach Indo-Western dress. The post was accompanied by the caption, "Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach."

Fans mourn the loss

Simran's untimely death has shocked her fans, many of whom expressed their grief on her social media. In the comments section of her recent posts, fans paid heartfelt tributes. "Why why why kyu kiya suicide sister? RIP," one fan wrote, while another commented, "She died by suicide... What in the world are we living in? Rest in peace."

Simran had also made a notable appearance in a video posted in August 2023, which featured Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher during the promotions of their film Ghoomer.
