New Delhi: In a chilling case that shocked even seasoned police officers, a young man was brutally murdered by his own friends in a horrific ritualistic killing. The crime, driven by greed and a desire for quick wealth, saw the victim decapitated, his eyes gouged out, and his skull grotesquely mutilated. On June 22, the mutilated body of Raju Kumar was discovered in a forested area of Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, near Delhi. The body was headless, sparking an intense police search in the surrounding areas.

However, despite their efforts, the head remained missing, leaving investigators with a gruesome mystery. The victim was identified as Raju Kumar, who hails from Bishanpur village in Bihar’s Motihari district.

Raju, who lived with his uncle in Delhi and ran a chaat-pakoras stall, had gone missing on June 15. His uncle, Ganesh, reported his disappearance to the police, but no immediate action was taken. It wasn’t until the discovery of his mutilated body that the full extent of the crime began to emerge.

Friends turned killers

DCP Nimish Patil revealed that the murder was orchestrated by Raju’s so-called friends, Vikas alias Paramatma, Vikas, and Dhananjay. While Vikas and Dhananjay were arrested, the main accused, Paramatma, remains at large. The trio, all residents of Delhi, were lured into the crime by Paramatma, who claimed to practice black magic. Promising them quick riches through occult rituals, Paramatma convinced Vikas and Dhananjay that they needed a human skull to perform a powerful ritual.

Sinister plan unfolds

In their greed, the two friends turned their attention to Raju. On June 15, they kidnapped him and kept him intoxicated for five days at Paramatma’s house. On the night of June 21-22, they killed him by hanging him from a ceiling fan. They then transported his body to the forest, where they decapitated him with a knife.

Ritual of horror

After severing Raju’s head, the killers removed his eyes, cut off his ears and nose, and peeled the skin from his skull. For seven days, they performed black magic rituals on the skull, hoping to gain wealth. When their efforts failed, Paramatma demanded another skull and eventually fled with Raju’s severed head.
