Since the Central government notified rules for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on Monday, the Delhi Police have increased security in northeast Delhi, Shaheen Bagh, Jamia, and other critical locations in the nation's capital.
In some regions, paramilitary and police personnel have been stationed. Additionally, there will be flag marches by the police in portions of northeast and southeast Delhi.

2020 saw rioting in Delhi related to demonstrations against the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). Looking at how the situation was in the past the police has taken tighter safetly measures.
Joy Tirkey who is the DCP of North East Delhi shared that security measures have been placed in the nation's capital at the moment, and plans have been made in the North East district. 2020 was a horrible situation in which heavy loss was experienced. The Aman Committee met and provided a briefing to the residents of both areas. Some known offenders and possible troublemakers have been marked by the police.
He continued by saying that they monitor social media in addition to staying in contact with their beat constables. The cops are conducting a two-day flag march and will begin a larger-scale flag march tomorrow. Drones will be used to help take extra precautions in sensitive places.
DCP Tirkey informed that the police are in charge of ensuring the safety of every single common person in Delhi's northeast district. The announcement from the Centre was followed by a flag march in Noida by the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police.
As per the Joint Commissioner Shivhari Meena, they are monitoring crowded and vulnerable areas on foot by the Chief Minister's directives. They are doing so to reassure people that they are one with them.
As a result of the Center's announcement regarding CAA, security was increased throughout the nation, especially in Assam. All police stations are on high alert, according to officials, and barricades have been placed in the state's main thoroughfares. Since opposition parties have declared their intention to oppose the rules' notifications, patrolling in vulnerable places has increased.
Copies of the CAA have been burned by the All Assam Students Union and thirty indigenous organizations in Guwahati, Nalbari, Barpeta, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, and Tezpur, among other places in the state. Also on Tuesday, the 16-party United Opposition Forum in Assam (UOFA) declared a statewide hartal.

The Modi administration is prepared to start the process of awarding Indian nationality to non-Muslim migrants who were persecuted and came to India before December 31, 2014, with the release of the CAA guidelines. These migrants are from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
