Maharashtra: Shiv Sena Yuva Sena general secretary Rahul Kanal blamed Kunal Kamra as a "self-proclaimed" comedy artist and stated that he along with Aaditya Thackeray, Rahul Gandhi and Sanjay Raut were party to a pre-meditated criminal conspiracy to defame the reputation, image and goodwill of Eknath Shinde. Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske stated, "Kunal Kamra is a professional comedian and he is speaking about our leader for some money. A case has been registered against comedian Kunal Kamra, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Shiv Sena UBT leaders Aaditya Thackeray and Sanjay Raut in Maharashtra. Actually, comedian Kunal Kamra referred to Deputy CM Eknath Shinde as a traitor for defying Uddhav Thackeray in a show. He did not mention Eknath Shinde but his song speaks about changing the party, taking leaders along, whatever happened in 2022 resulted in a split in the Shiv Sena."

Even one of the Shiv Sena MPs threatened the comedian by saying Kamra would not be able to move anywhere in the country.
Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske stated, "Kunal Kamra is a mercenary comedian and he is speaking about our leader for some money. Not Maharashtra, Kunal Kamra can move around freely anywhere in India, Shiv Sainiks will teach him his place. We pity Sanjay Raut and Shiv Sena (UBT) that they don't have any party workers or leaders to speak about our leader, so they are hiring the likes of him for this purpose. "Kunal Kamra will get a fitting reply and he will come and apologise for his fault," he said. We practice Balasaheb Thackeray's ideology and we'll make sure that Kunal Kamra can roam around freely neither in Maharashtra nor anywhere else in the country."
