In a shocking incident, a prostitution racket was busted in a hotel in Ghaziabad after the police carried out a raid following a call through the dial 112 helpline. According to the available information, the owner of the hotel had forced women into prostitution, threatening to kill them if they refused to do so. He had fled the spot after the police reached.
ACP Indirapuram, Swatantra Kumar Singh's police team raided the hotel on Saturday night. The police squad took Lakshya, Avinash, Rahul Kumar, and Gaurav Yadav into custody during the raid. In addition to finding the four accused in objectionable conditions with women in the rooms, similar items were also discovered and taken into custody. Anand Kumar, the hotel operator, escaped through the roof.
The police said that the hotel owner also used to make objectionable videos of women who came to the hotel in search of jobs. He used the videos as a tool to threaten these women, saying that if they did not do what he said then he would viral their videos. The prostitutes alleged that only 15-20 per cent of the money collected through this was handed over to the women.
The accused used to lure women by indulging them in sweet talk. Previously the residents of the area had also objected the running of the hotel, located amid a densely crowded area. They had alleged the owner of spoiling the area's environment through his objectionable activities.
