Despite the medical efforts, Ali Khan succumbed to his injuries on June 24.

Railway authorities' respond

Following the incident, a case was registered by the GRP. The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Railways posted on the social media platform 'X', clarifying details about the accident. The post stated that Ali Khan was traveling on seat number 57 (lower berth) of the S6 coach. The upper berth seat fell due to improper chaining by a fellow passenger, not because of any damage to the seat itself. The spokesperson emphasized that the seat was in good condition and had been checked at Nizamuddin station, confirming it was not damaged.
