A devastating fire broke out at TRP Gamezone in Rajkot, Gujarat, which claimed the lives of 27 individuals, including children. Among the victims was Prakash Hiran, one of the co-owners of the gaming zone, whose presence was confirmed by CCTV footage captured during the tragic incident.

Prakash Hiran's brother, Jitendra, filed a missing complaint, indicating Prakash's presence inside the gaming zone when the fire erupted. Forensic experts conducted DNA tests, matching samples with Prakash's mother, ultimately confirming his demise in the blaze.

Legal ramifications

As a partner in Raceway Enterprises with a 60% ownership stake in the gaming zone, Prakash Hiran was listed as an accused by the Gujarat Police. The FIR named six individuals, including Prakash, who were involved in the management of the establishment.

Identification challenges

With many bodies unrecognizable due to severe burns, authorities turned to DNA testing to identify the victims accurately. The collaboration with a forensic science lab facilitated the process of DNA profiling to ascertain the identities of the deceased.
