Farmers' Protest: Haryana sub-inspector dies on duty at Shambhu Border

According to Haryana police, Sub-Inspector Hiralal's health suddenly deteriorated while he was on his duties at the border point. He was rushed to the Ambala Civil Hospital, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to death.

Hiralal, a 52-year-old Sub-Inspector of the Haryana Railway Police (GRP), passed away while on duty at the Shambhu border on Friday. He was deployed amid the ongoing farmers' 'Delhi Chalo' march, which is currently in its fifth day.

According to Haryana police, Sub-Inspector Hiralal's health suddenly deteriorated while he was on his duties at the border point. He was rushed to the Ambala Civil Hospital, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to death.

 Director General expresses grief

Haryana Director General of Police, Shatrujit Kapoor, expressed his deep condolences on the passing of Sub-Inspector Hiralal. He praised his dedication to duty and called his death a big loss to the police force.

Ongoing protests and standoff

The farmers' protest entered its fifth day on Saturday, with security forces continuing to resist attempts by the agitating farmers to enter Delhi. The standoff at the Shambhu border, along with other entry points, has resulted in clashes between protestors and police, leading to injuries on both sides.

A third round of talks between the Union Ministers Arjun Munda, Piyush Goyal, and Nityanand Rai and farmer representatives concluded on Thursday without reaching any resolution. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, organizers of the 'Delhi Chalo' march, continue to urge the government to meet their demands.
