Farmers' Protest: Understanding the WTO's deception 

Today, farmers once again assembled at Shambhu border to express their discontent with the allocation of agricultural businesses to corporations, depriving farmers of the opportunity to receive fair prices for their produce. They protested against this practice of ringfencing farmers and undermining their ability to attain rightful compensation for their harvest.

At the forefront of their demonstration, farmers burnt effigies of the World Trade Organization (WTO), highlighting their opposition to WTO policies that hinder the assurance of Minimum Support Price (MSP). 

Furthermore, videos circulating from various parts of the country depict farmers and laborers joining in solidarity, burning effigies representing the WTO, corporate entities including business magnate Gautam Adani, governmental bodies and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This widespread protest underscores the collective frustration and resistance against policies perceived as detrimental to the interests of farmers and laborers across India.
