Farmers' Protest: Commuters in Delhi have been advised to steer clear of certain roads in the central areas of the city due to special traffic arrangements put in place by the authorities.

Farmers' Protest: As agitating farmers gear up to resume their 'Dilli Chalo' march at 11 AM today, the Delhi Police have implemented traffic restrictions near the Delhi border and in the National Capital Region (NCR) areas of Noida and Greater Noida.

Commuters in Delhi have been advised to steer clear of certain roads in the central areas of the city due to special traffic arrangements put in place by the authorities. The Delhi Police, in a statement posted on their official social media platform with captions, "On 21-02-24, due to special traffic arrangements kindly avoid IP Marg in both the carriageways from IP Flyover towards A-point and vice-versa, ITO Chowk, DDU Marg, BSZ Marg, JLN Marg, Shanti Van crossing and Rajghat crossing from 9.30 AM to 11.30 AM."

Multiple layers of barricades between Delhi and Haryana

At the Tikri and Singhu border points between Delhi and Haryana, heavy police presence and multiple layers of barricades made of concrete and iron nails have sealed off the areas. Similarly, at the Ghazipur border, two lanes have been closed with similar barricades and heightened police presence. An official hinted at the possibility of shutting down the Ghazipur border on Wednesday if deemed necessary.

Meanwhile, commuters in Greater Noida may face traffic diversions due to a protest march organized by the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tikait), as stated by local police authorities.

The planned farmer march in Greater Noida is expected to pass through various areas, including the Knowledge Park metro station, India Expo Mart, Sharda University, LG roundabout, and Moser Bear roundabout, culminating at the Collectorate in Surajpur.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, police have outlined possible diversions that may be implemented if needed:

  • Traffic from Galgotia Cut towards LG via Expomart Roundabout can divert towards Pari Chowk from Galgotia Cut.
  • Traffic from the IFS Villa roundabout towards LG via the Expomart roundabout can divert through the P-03 roundabout via Pari Chowk.
  • Traffic from the LG roundabout via Knowledge Park towards the Export roundabout can divert towards Pari Chowk from the LG roundabout.
  • Traffic from Surajpur towards Pari Chowk can divert through Tilapata roundabout via the 130-meter road.
  • Traffic from Pari Chowk towards Surajpur can divert through the 130-meter road from Alpha Commercial Roundabout.
