The 'Chalo Delhi' march launched by protesting farmers was paused Tuesday night after clashes with police at the Haryana-Punjab border. But farmers vow to continue attempts to enter Delhi today despite injuries and use of tear gas by police.
Traffic congestion is expected again in Delhi as heavy security remains around the capital's borders. Farmers stopped their march after breaking police barricades Tuesday, and camped at Shambhu and Khanauri borders overnight.
The Punjab government has alerted hospitals near the border as many protesters were injured. Police used tear gas shells and drones to stop the farmers from crossing over. Some policemen were also hurt.

Small groups staying near Delhi may also hold demonstrations. Traffic diversions are in place at some border points. Haryana has extended mobile internet suspension in several districts till February 15.
