The farmers continued their 'Dilli Chalo' march from the Shambhu border, despite encountering tear gas shells at two border posts when demonstrators attempted to breach barricades. As they assembled near the border with Shambhu to get ready for the march, they were attacked with tear gas. 

Anil Vij opens up about the farmer protest

Amid the farmer's protest, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij stated in a cover letter with ANI that the Punjab government's alleged letter urged them not to send drones across borders. He added that farmers in Amritsar never attempted to impede their migration. He continued by adding that their goal is for the farmers to terrorize Delhi. He mentioned one of the DSPs and twenty-five other police officers getting hurt in the ongoing stone-pelting.

Speaking with a farmer hurt by police during the protest march of tillers, Congressman Rahul Gandhi charged that the Modi administration was taking a 'dictatorial attitude' toward the nation's food suppliers.
