A shocking incident occurred in Faridabad's Ajay Nagar Part-2 on Monday night, where a 14-year-old boy allegedly set his father on fire, leading to his death. Following the gruesome crime, the police took the teenager into custody and later transferred him to a juvenile correction home.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to pouring kerosene over and under his father’s bed before setting it ablaze. The kerosene, which was already present in the house for domestic purposes, became the tool for his premeditated crime.

Crime scene investigation and witness accounts

Authorities revisited the crime scene on Tuesday night to gather evidence and reconstruct the sequence of events. Investigators questioned neighbors and the landlord, recording their statements to gain further insights into the incident. According to sources, the teenager executed the act while his father, 55-year-old Mohammad Aleem, was in deep sleep.

Reports suggest that Mohammad Aleem was known for his short temper. The teenager had been subjected to physical punishment on multiple occasions. On the day of the incident, the boy had skipped school, which led to a confrontation when his father returned from a religious site. After scolding him, Aleem allegedly beat him. Later that evening, another altercation erupted when the boy was caught stealing money from his father’s pocket, resulting in a second beating.

Planned revenge turns deadly

Enraged by the physical abuse, the teenager devised a plan to kill his father. He noticed a container of kerosene in the house while his father was cooking dinner. Around 2 AM, once his father had fallen into a deep sleep, he poured kerosene on and under the bed and ignited it with a matchstick before locking the door from outside. Mohammad Aleem woke up in flames, screaming for help. However, by the time neighbors arrived, the teenager had already escaped by jumping onto an adjacent building.

No conflicts with siblings

Police investigations revealed that the accused teenager had no disputes with his siblings—three sisters and an elder brother. Additionally, no mobile phone was found in his possession at the time of his arrest. Authorities continue to probe the case as they determine the next course of action.
