Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday while appearing before the court in connection with the Delhi Excise policy case said that the liquor scam started when the Enforcement Directorate (ED) started the investigation. He alleged that it is a 'political conspiracy' behind his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate.

The statement from Delhi chief minister came when he was brought to the courtroom in Rouse Avenue court, as his custody with the Enforcement Directorate came to an end today.

"It's being alleged that there it was a Rs 100 cr scam...Justice Sanjiv Khanna said that the money trail is not yet traced...The motive of ED is to crush the Aam Aadmi Party," said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal before Rouse Avenue Court during his ED remand hearing.

Kejriwal also said that BJP is trying to demolish AAP with this motive.

Kejriwal also questioned, why he has been arrested?

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate alleged that Kejriwal is not cooperating, and not sharing ITR details. ED said that Arvind Kejriwal himself argued his case which is a rare move when he had counsels to represent him. ED has also sought a 7-day extension of his custody as his custody ends today. Kejriwal will have to be confronted with the other accused in the Delhi liquor case, the ED said.

However, Delhi's Rouse Avenue court has reserved an order on the Enforcement Directorate's plea seeking 7 days extension of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's custody remand.
