Jharkhand Elections: In a significant development ahead of the Jharkhand assembly elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) expressed disappointment with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress regarding seat-sharing arrangements. On Sunday, RJD officials reiterated their firm stance, insisting that the party would not settle for anything less than 12 seats in the upcoming polls, despite the ongoing collaboration within the INDIA bloc.Discontent over seat allocationsThe announcement by the JMM and Congress, declaring their intention to contest 70 of the states 81 assembly seats, has triggered a wave of discontent within the RJD ranks. RJD spokesperson Manoj Kumar Jha emphasized that accepting fewer than 12 to 13 seats is not acceptable, asserting that the party has a solid footing in 18 to 20 constituencies. “If we are asked to contest three or four seats, we are not ready to make any sacrifices,” Jha stated.Commitment to INDIA bloc coalsDespite their dissatisfaction, Jha reaffirmed the RJDs commitment to defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and emphasized that the party would not undermine the INDIA blocs prospects. “Our sole aim is to defeat BJP we will not sabotage the INDIA bloc,” he declared.
