New Delhi: Enforcement Directorate (ED) has made startling allegations against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of intentionally consuming high-sugar foods to raise his blood sugar levels.

In a recent development, the ED has claimed that Kejriwal, who is currently incarcerated, is deliberately indulging in mangoes, sweets, and adding sugar to his tea, all with the purported intention of elevating his blood sugar levels.

Attempt to create ground for bail

This revelation comes amidst Kejriwal's ongoing legal battle, with the agency asserting that he is attempting to create grounds for bail by citing fluctuations in his blood sugar levels.

According to reports from Bar and Bench, the ED has explicitly stated, "Enforcement Directorate alleges that Arvind Kejriwal is deliberately eating mangoes, sweets and taking sugar with tea to raise his blood sugar level."

Social media user latches similar allegations on Kejriwal

Interestingly, these claims align with similar assertions made by an individual identified as Sinha on social media platform X. In a post attributed to him, Sinha accuses Kejriwal of exerting pressure on jail authorities to provide him with high-sugar and high-glycemic index drinks and food items. Sinha further alleges that Kejriwal's motive behind consuming such foods is to artificially inflate his blood sugar levels, thereby seeking grounds for bail.

Kejriwal, who was arrested on March 21 by the ED in connection with an alleged excise scam, is currently detained in Tihar's Jail No-2.

As these allegations surface, they cast a shadow over Kejriwal's incarceration, raising questions about the lengths individuals may go to secure their release amidst legal challenges.
