Within 24 hours, five minor earthquakes with a maximum magnitude of 4.5 struck the areas of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. A 3.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Jammu and Kashmir at 2:03 pm on Saturday triggered the first tremor.
According to a meteorological department official, the mountainous Ramban district along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway served as the epicentre of the 3.0 magnitude tremor, which struck at 2:03 pm.
Located at a latitude of 33.31 degrees north and a longitude of 75.19 degrees east, he claimed that the earthquake was five kilometres deep.
The second shock, measuring 4.5 in magnitude, occurred at roughly 9.44 pm, 271 km northeast of Leh, Ladakh.
A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Doda area of Jammu and Kashmir at 9.55 pm. Notably, in the last five days, there have been seven earthquakes in the Doda district.

Whereas, in Jammu and Kashmir, close to Katra, seismic activity was recorded for the sixth and last time. At 3.50 am, a 4.1-magnitude earthquake with an 11-kilometre depth occurred 80 km east of Katra. Further details awaited…
