An earthquake tremor of magnitude 6.1 struck the Hindukush region today at 14:50:24 IST. Strong tremors were felt in Delhi and other northern states this afternoon. There are no immediate reports of any injury or destruction. According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake is located in Afghanistan near the city of Karma, at a depth of 220 KM. Further details awaited.
