New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Delhi Universitys School of Open Learning where a student was allegedly kidnapped from near his house and beaten to death on Saturday. The family accused of killing his son, Himanshu Sharma claimed that he had raped their 19-year-old daughter and had been threatening her. Police have filed a report against seven peopleRajni Sharmas mother, speaking about her 20-year-old son, said, the accusations were not true, there was no woman involved. His uncle, Anil Kumar Sharma added that Himanshu received a call from the girls phone on Saturday after he left home, four to five of her family members kidnapped him and took him to Baghpat and killed him. The circle officer at Baghpat Kotwali, Harish Bhadauria confirmed the arrest of two accused in the case. NP Singh, ASP of Baghpat said that, according to the girls mothers complaint, Himanshu was blackmailing her daughter after allegedly raping her.The girl shared her ordeal with her brother who lives in a village in Baghpat. The brother and some relatives came to Delhi, misled Himanshu with a message from the girls phone, abducted him and brought him to Baghpat. They have been charged under sections 140 for kidnapping or abducting with intent to murder or for ransom and 103 (1) for the murder of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.More details on incidentMother Rajni has been raising her two children, Himanshu and his younger sister by herself for the past 12 years since her husband left them. She runs a small grocery shop and sews clothes to make ends meet in New Usmanpur, Northeast Delhi. Himanshus mother shared her unease feeling around 5 pm on Saturday after he left home, supposedly invited to a birthday party. She tried calling him several times but his phone was switched off. She waited until 10 pm and then informed her relatives about his missing son. Rajni also said that around 10:30 pm, a neighbour had phoned his son and then called me at her house. According to Rajni, the neighbour informed her that Himanshu had been kidnapped. The neighbour even made a video call to people, they showed Himanshu in their custody and threatened to kill him.Mother is in shock Rajni also said that, she knew woman as they often visited their home. The woman told Rajni to come with her if she wanted to see her son again. They went to a forest in Baghpat where Rajni saw a car with a Delhi number plate, finding her son in blood. She was about to take him to the hospital then police arrived and arrested two of the suspects.When asked about allegations of Himanshu being in a relationship, the Sharma family refused about it. Rajni expressed devastation over their shattered dreams. She questioned why they didnt talk to her first if they had issues, instead of kidnapping and killing my son.
