A shocking incident has emerged from Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba, where inebriated men raised a ruckus on Saturday evening. The situation turned intense when they attacked an old man after they were denied drinking water to drink along with their booze. The victim was subjected to savage kicks and punches and succumbed to his injuries on the hospital floor. Police have now registered the case for investigation.
Police reports show that the brawl in Kharela's Manik Mohal area turned violent. DSP Ravikant Gaur reported that a boy named Vijay, along with his friends, was drinking liquor outside a resident named Mohit. When they required water to drink with alcohol, they approached Mohit to ask for some. He refused, and that infuriated the inebriated men.
In a rage at being refused, Vijay and his friends attacked Mohit's house, beating him and his family members with sticks, punches, and kicks. Mohit's 75-year-old grandfather, Ram Sanehi, heard the commotion and stepped out to try and end the fight. Unfortunately, the drunk men took out their fury on the old man, beating him up mercilessly before disappearing.
Seriously injured, Ram Sanehi was brought straight to the Community Health Center by his family members. But he was already declared dead by doctors when he arrived. The family members were shocked, and they soon lodged a complaint at the police station, blaming four individuals for the crime. Police Investigation Ongoing When the police heard about the incident, they acted swiftly. The victim's body was sent for post-mortem, and the authorities have launched a full-fledged inquiry into the case. Authorities are in the process of arresting the suspects and bringing justice to the grieving family.
