A bank manager kidnapped at gunpoint from his residence in Haryana’s Faridabad, has been safely rescued by the Haryana Crime branch. According to the sources, the victim, Satish, was abducted and forcefully taken to Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh and then Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, which was almost 800 km drive. The investigation has revealed that the victims’ previous tenant, Bhupendra was the mastermind of the conspiracy.

According to the preliminary investigation, the conspiracy against Satish who is a government employee and resides with his wife in Sector 62, Faridabad, was targeted due to perceived wealth. Bhupendra also involved one of his accomplices Ravinder, an ex-colleague at petrol pump.

The whole episode of the kidnapping happened on Saturday when Bhupendra forcibly entered the victim's house and took away car keys, and mobile phones. During the investigation, it was revealed that Satish was well-off and they would demand ransom after the kidnapping. Bhupendra also knew that Satish did not lock the main door at night. Bhupendra’s wife who was involved in the kidnapping, sat in the front seat to show that the family was in the car. The kidnappers also refueled the cab using Satish’s credit card.

Soon after the family alerted the authorities, prompting a rapid response the official made six teams to track Satish. The kidnappers made the ransom call from Himachal and demanded Rs 50 lakh from Satish's family, who denied the same and settled the same at Rs 5 lakh. Officials were also present during the call.

With rapid action, police arrested Bhupendra when he came to collect the ransom and revealed the whereabouts of Satish.

However, police are still trying to apprehend Ravinder, who is still absconding. As per sources, Satish has sustained injuries.
