In a tragic incident, Dr Javed Akhtar was shot dead inside Nima Hospital, Jaitpur, under the Kalindi Kunj police station jurisdiction on Tuesday. According to Delhi Police and hospital staff, two men entered the hospital pretending to need treatment for an injury. After receiving first aid, they demanded to meet Dr Akhtar. Upon entering his cabin, the assailants opened fire, killing him on the spot.
