New Delhi: In a striking act of public protest, Nisha Gowri, a Bengaluru resident, has taken a stand against Ola Electric scooters by placing a placard on her vehicle. The placard, which reads, "Dear Kannadigas, Ola is a useless two-wheeler. If you buy one, it will only make your life harder. Please do not buy an Ola Electric scooter," has quickly garnered attention on social media platform X, sparking a heated debate about the quality and service of Ola Electric's products.

Public display of dissatisfaction

Gowri’s frustration stems from several ongoing issues with her Ola scooter, including frequent breakdowns and persistent software glitches. Despite paying in full and waiting over a month for delivery, she has been dissatisfied with the scooter’s performance. Her public display of dissatisfaction has resonated with other users, with one commenting, "Nice. That's a perfect 1-star review," and another praising her efforts by saying, "This lady deserves a standing ovation. Ola has degraded so badly as a company in the last few years. Worst EV."

A third user echoed similar sentiments, noting problems like sudden battery depletion and noisy performance on rough roads, stating, "Same here. Below 50km it drops all of a sudden to no charge left. And also while riding on the harsh road, it makes dabba noise."

Similar incident follows

The controversy follows a recent incident in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, where another Ola Electric customer resorted to arson in frustration over service issues. While Ola Electric has condemned the arson and promised legal action, the company has yet to address the specific grievances raised by its customers. As the debate continues, Ola Electric faces growing scrutiny over its product quality and customer service.
