Distressing! Vegetable vendor shares video before committing suicide, alleges harassment by 2 UP cops

A shocking incident has been surfaced on social media from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, where a depressed man has shared two videos on social media before committing suicide. The victim has been identified as Sunil Rajput, who worked as a vegetable vendor in the Sachendi Police Station area. The incident has sent shock waves to the family as in the video he has alleged two police officers, were the reason for his death.

Sunil uploaded two videos on social media. In the first video, the victim alleged that the police station in charge and the constable were harassing him, attributing it to his decision to end his life. Whereas, in the second video, he apologized to his family for his actions. The videos have created a stir on the internet.

Named the police officials in the video

In the video shared by Sunil, he alleged that UP police sub-inspector Satendra Kumar used to take vegetables for free and also snatched money from him on several occasions. In another video, he can be seen putting a leash around his neck. He can be seen apologizing to his parents for the drastic step. "Mummy humein maaf kardein, theek hai.. Papa toh..," said Sunil in his last video tragically. He then reportedly hanged himself to death.

Investigation underway

Soon after getting a complaint from the family of Sunil, police initiated the investigation. The body has been sent for the post-mortem. However, no reports of action have been surfaced.
