EAM S Jaishankar Meets New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon (x/@chrisluxonmp)
External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar had a Sunday meeting with Christopher Luxon who serves as the Prime Minister of New Zealand at their New Delhi location. During March 16-20 PM Christopher Luxon conducts an official diplomatic mission in India.
Through a X post the EAM demonstrated his gratitude to PM Christopher Luxon for advancing the historic bond that exists between India and New Zealand. He expressed his anticipation about Prime Minister Luxon being the Raisina Dialogue 2025 Chief Guest. I am glad to meet with Prime Minister Chris Luxon of New Zealand in person. We value his dedication to strengthen the bonds between our countries as we have done so for many years.
He has expressed his anticipation to serve as the Chief Guest of #RaisinaDialogue2025. New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon initiated his official visit to India from Sunday by landing in Delhi. Minister of State (MoS) SP Singh Baghel welcomed the New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon at the Indian airport. Luxon will serve as the main guest during the Raisina Dialogue when it takes place in New Delhi between March 17 and March 19.
Prime Minister Modi will start the Dialogue by providing his inauguration speech on March 17. People, Peace and Planet serve as the theme for the 2025 version of this event. Luxon will dialogue with Modi at the Hyderabad House in Delhi during his Indian visit. After the Hyderabad House MoU exchange leaders will proceed to a Rashtrapati Bhavan meeting involving PM Luxon and President Droupadi Murmu based on MEA information.
The scheduled journey for him takes place on Wednesday to Mumbai. The visit of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will include a meeting with Christopher Luxon during his stay in Mumbai. During his state visit New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon plans to meet with Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan. The date for his departure from India will be March 20.
India and New Zealand share warm and friendly ties. Diplomatic relations were established in 1952. The two nations exhibit parallel characteristics through their Commonwealth membership in addition to their democratic administration systems for diverse populations and their common legal principles. Cricket together with hockey and mountaineering along with tourism serve as strong connectors that have built solid friendly relations.
