National News: The fest season is in full swing in Delhi University these days. Live concerts of big artists are being held in different colleges and the most discussed is the bang performance of popular stars like Diljit Dosanjh. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the students about this.
But on the other hand, teachers and some students have complained about obstruction of studies with sharp music and breakdown of discipline in the campus. Especially in the show of high-energy stars like Diljit, music plays so fast that his echoes reach the classrooms.
Now the university administration has come into action. Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh has said that an expert committee will be formed which will decide how many decibels can music be played in colleges and university campus. This will also give fun to the students and the atmosphere of education will not deteriorate.
The administration has also decided that the sound level of music playing during the fest will be controlled. Experts will decide how many decibels will be allowed so that studies are not interrupted in educational and residential areas.
Also, caste -based student organizations will no longer be allowed to organize programs in the campus. These instructions will soon be sent to all colleges and departments.
Recently, classes were interrupted by sharp music during the Jat conference held at CPDHE building. Many professors complained about this. Similarly, in the Holi Milan program, the situation had become uncontrollable and the police had to interfere.
Last year, in view of the incidents of molestation, DU issued an advisory of 18 points, in which pre -registration, police NOC and security agencies permission were made mandatory. Now more strict steps are being taken in the same direction.
