New Delhi:  A shocking incident has come to light from Jharkhand's Deoghar where a deranged admirer along with three accomplices, carried out a frightening act of intimidation outside a women’s college in broad daylight. The incident occurred near Rama Devi Bajla Women’s College, where the group reportedly threatened three female students with a pistol, demanding one of them marry the aggressor and pressuring the others to facilitate the marriage.

On Wednesday, the assailants confronted the students at the college gate, with one of them brandishing a pistol and making marriage demands. The armed threat included warnings of severe consequences if the student refused. The other two students were coerced into helping with the marriage arrangements, under the threat of violence. The situation escalated quickly, creating a scene of terror right outside the educational institution.

Principal alerts police

The college principal, upon learning of the threats, promptly contacted the police. However, by the time law enforcement arrived at the scene, the perpetrators had fled. The victims, who reside in various local neighborhoods, filed complaints with the police, leading to an immediate investigation. The suspects are believed to be from the local area as well as from the Kunda police jurisdiction.

Investigation underway

Following the incident, the three students informed their parents and reported the matter to the municipal police station. Based on their complaints, police officers, including SI Ghanshyam Ganjhu, SI Prashant Kumar, and Chandrashekhar Kumar Rajak, launched an investigation. Despite their efforts, including raiding locations, the changing mobile phone locations of the suspects have hindered progress. The police have assured the public that they are committed to apprehending the suspects soon. The search for the perpetrators continues, with authorities working to track down their current locations.
