A sensational case of murder of a young man has come to light in the country's national capital Delhi. In North Delhi's Timarpur area, a youth was stabbed to death by two teenagers after he refused to give them matches to light a cigarette.
According to the police, a PCR call was received regarding the stabbing incident at Timarpur police station on Saturday. Police immediately reached the spot and took the injured youth to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, the police learnt the youth was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) MK Meena further said that after examining the CCTV footage of the crime scene, the police noticed two minor youths and caught both of them on Sunday (April 7). Police have recovered the knife used in the crime.
On questioning, both of them revealed that one of them had asked the victim to give him a matchbox to light a cigarette, but he refused to do so, which led to an argument. As the argument escalated, a youth attacked the victim with a knife and both fled from the spot.
