Delhi’s New Budget: Rs 696 Crore to Uplift Slums, 50K Cameras for Women

Delhi’s Chief Minister has rolled out an ambitious new budget, channeling Rs 696 crore into transforming the city’s slum areas while bolstering women’s safety with the installation of 50,000 surveillance cameras. This dual-focus plan aims to tackle long-standing urban challenges with a blend of development and security.

Delhi Budget: Women of Delhi have great expectations from Rekha Gupta. In this budget, along with cleaning of Yamuna, all-round development of Delhi, employment opportunities for the youth of Delhi will also be focused upon.

Budget Updates

Munak canal comes in the open from Haryana, a lot of its water gets wasted. It will be converted into a pipeline, so that there is no water theft and no wastage of water.

* Water and sewer will no longer be a problem in Delhi 


* 200 crore rupees will be spent to improve Najafgarh drain


* Today, with the aim of cleaning the Yamuna, we have planned to set up a sewage treatment plant at a cost of Rs 500 crore.


* We have decided to install GPS in tankers to get rid of the tanker scam in Delhi. Citizens and RWAs will be able to track their tankers.


* We will provide clean water to every citizen in Delhi. For this, we have kept a budget of Rs 9000 crore. Which is 3 times more than the previous governments.

* Industries will flourish and grow not just in files but on the ground.

*Global Business Investment Summit will be held in Delhi, it is held in other states, it will be held in Delhi for the first time. Efforts will be made to organize it once every two years

* Traders Welfare Board will be formed

* The conditions of industrial areas are bad, so businessmen had to go to other states. Now we will improve the conditions of those areas, which will benefit Delhi's industries.

*Single window system will be introduced which will help in ease of doing business

*Our government will bring new industrial policy and new warehouse policy.

*We are laying the foundation of industrial revolution in Delhi

* You spent lakhs of rupees to build toilets for yourself, we will build toilets for the people living in slums.

*You built the Sheesh Mahal, we will build houses for the people of Delhi

*100 canteens will be opened in the name of Canteen in the birth year of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. A provision of Rs 100 crore has been made for this.

*Rs 696 crore will be allocated for the development of slums and JJ colonies

*1400 crores will be allocated under a new development policy. It was stopped in the previous government
50 thousand additional cameras will be installed for the safety of women

*Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be implemented in Delhi. People will get free treatment through this - Chief Minister
The budget for 2023-2024 was Rs 78800 crore. This time the budget is Rs 1 lakh crore - Chief Minister
