Some shocking visuals have surfaced in social media which shows Delhi's Bawana area which is inundated as the barrage of the Munak canal of North Delhi broke and water entered into the residential areas. According to the sources, the Munak canal got damaged, causing water to overflow into nearby residential areas.

Drone visuals from the JJ colony area show that the water has begun flooding J Block in Bawana JJ Colony. Notably, it is the canal, originating in Haryana that supplies essential water to Delhi.

According to the reports, the area flooded with water on Wednesday night which caused panic among residents. It is worth noting that the situation worsened after Delhi received showers.

Subsequently, the authorities were informed and the repair work at the barrage started. However, according to the reports, the local people said that the necessary relief efforts have not been initiated so far. They also alleged that the irrigation department is not making enough efforts to stop the flow.
