Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North Manoj Kumar Meena announced that action had been taken against the police officer and that the police post-in-charge had been suspended, following the viral video of a Delhi Police Post Incharge beating individuals who were doing namaz on the street going viral.
"The police officer shown in the viral video has been suspended. There is disciplinary action underway and the situation has been normalized,” DCP told ANI after the video went viral.

DCP Meena further informed that their teams are in contact with the locals in the area and have asked them to maintain the law and order situation in the place.
"The gathering which was there earlier has now been reduced. We are holding conversations with those who are left," he said.
Earlier in the day, a video clip surfaced on social media, in which police personnel in Delhi's Inderlok were seen trying to disperse a few men praying on the road by allegedly hitting them while they were offering namaz. He was also seen getting involved in a scuffle with the locals.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the case is still on.
