Delhi Police detains Bibhav Kumar from CM house in Swati Maliwal assault case

Swati Maliwal had accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's personal secretary Bibhav of assaulting her inside the CM House on May 13.

In a significant development, Bibhav Kumar has been arrested in connection with the assault case involving former Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson, Swati Maliwal.

Maliwal had accused Kumar of assaulting her at Kejriwal's official residence on  Monday, slapping, and kicking her in the chest and abdomen, charges rejected as "baseless" by her party. However, the Delhi police filed an FIR in connection with the alleged assault on Maliwal and named Kumar as an accused. 

Swati Maliwal serious allegations on Bibhav

On May 13, the incident of assault on Swati Maliwal came to light and she had made serious allegations against Bibhav Kumar, close to Arvind Kejriwal. After this, She lodged an FIR and recorded his statement before the court on Friday in which serious allegations were made against Bibhav. After registering the case, Delhi Police was continuously investigating Bibhav's location to arrest him.

Bibhav Kumar filed written complaint

In this case, CM's personal assistant Bibhav Kumar, accused, has filed a written complaint against Swati Maliwal. In this, he has accused Maliwal of unauthorized entry, abusing and threatening and expressed the suspicion of BJP's hand behind this matter. He said in the complaint, 'Despite repeated objections from CM security and CMO staff, Swati Maliwal forcibly and illegally entered the CM residence. When he was asked to take time to become CM first, Maliwal abused him. She started screaming and abusing.
