Delhi-NCR Braces for Rain: Clouds Roll In with Strong Winds, Heat Relief Ahead!

After weeks of relentless heat, Delhi-NCR residents can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the weather takes a dramatic turn. Dark clouds are gathering on the horizon, bringing with them the promise of rain and gusty winds to cool the parched region.

Delhi-NCR Weather : Due to the effect of western disturbance, the weather pattern can change once again in Delhi-NCR region on 21st March i.e. Friday. Clouds are moving amidst the sun playing hide and seek. According to IMD, light to moderate rain is expected for the next 2 days. The maximum temperature in the capital on Thursday was recorded at 33.5 degree Celsius, which is 2.2 degree Celsius more than the average of this season. The minimum temperature was 15 degree Celsius, which is 1.5 degree less than the average. IMD has predicted strong winds on Friday.


How much pollution is there in Delhi?
There is a decline in the pollution level in Delhi. For the last 2 days, the AQI has remained around 150. At 7 pm, the AQI was recorded at 159, which falls in the moderate category. According to the CPCB, AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51-100 is 'satisfactory', 101-200 is 'moderate', 201-300 is 'poor', 301-400 is 'very poor' and 401-500 is 'severe'.

Skymet issued a forecast and said that on March 21, there may be light drizzle in the Delhi-NCR region in the morning. However, the duration of rain will be very short. After this, there will be a slight drop in temperature, but there is an alert of intense heat till next week. According to Skymet, this will also be seen in Greater Noida, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. Due to rain, there will be a slight break in the temperature and people will feel pleasant weather.

The Delhi government has planned to make artificial rain in the coming days to reduce pollution. A series of anti-pollution projects have been prepared in many polluted areas of Delhi-NCR.
