Crime News: Goa Police apprehended a man at Dabolim Airport on charges of molesting a female passenger aboard an Air India flight on Tuesday. The accused, identified as 23-year-old Jitendra Jangiyan from Panipat, Haryana, was taken into custody following a complaint by a 28-year-old woman from Janakpuri, Delhi. The disturbing incident reportedly occurred during the two-hour flight from Delhi to Goa, which departed at 11 a.m. and was scheduled to land at Panaji Airport at 1:20 p.m.The female passenger alleged that Jitendra, who was seated near her, behaved inappropriately during the flight. She stated that when she attempted to sleep with a blanket covering her, Jitendra began touching her in an indecent manner. Initially dismissing it as accidental, the victim soon realized the actions were deliberate. Matters escalated when he reportedly removed her blanket and attempted further inappropriate acts. Goa Police acted swiftly, locating and arresting the accused. According to police reports, Jitendra has been charged under sections 75 (sexual harassment) and 79 (acts intended to insult a womans modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
