Crime News: In a chilling incident in Delhi, Anil Kumar, a resident of Bihar, has been arrested for the brutal murder of his wife, whom he suspected of having an illicit relationship. Following the crime, Anil, along with his nephew Arun, disposed of Reshmis body by stuffing it into a sack and abandoning it on a railway track. The gruesome act was initially masked by a false claim that Reshmi had eloped with another man.How did it happenAnil Kumar and Reshmi, originally from Samastipur, had been married for three years and resided in Baba Haridas Colony, Mundka, with Anils parents. Reshmi had recently given birth to a son just a month and a half ago. Anils growing suspicions about his wifes fidelity led to daily abuse. On the night of July 19, Anil escalated his violence, bludgeoning Reshmi to death with a stick. He then summoned his nephew Arun to help him transport the body, which they placed in a sack before discarding it near Nizampur railway gate.Investigation underwayThe truth began to surface when the victims mother, grew suspicious after Anil claimed that his wife had left with a lover. She noticed discrepancies while preparing to collect clothes for her grandson, which led her to file a report at Mundka police station. Concurrently, the Sarai Rohilla Railway Police had circulated images of the unclaimed body across local police stations.Victims mother identifies her daughter bodyUpon seeing the photo, Savita Devi identified her daughter and provided crucial details about Anils deceit. This led to the registration of an FIR under the dowry murder section. Following a thorough investigation, Anil Kumar and his nephew Arun were apprehended and charged.
