In a significant development in the Delhi excise policy case, the Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal until August 8. In the same hearing, the court also extended the judicial custody of former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, BRS leader K Kavitha, and other accused individuals in connection with the Enforcement Directorates (ED) money laundering investigation related to the now-scrapped Delhi liquor excise policy for 2021-22.Despite the Supreme Court granting interim bail to Kejriwal in the ED case, he remains in Tihar Jail due to his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI has detained him on allegations of irregularities in the formation and implementation of the excise policy.
