National News: On Friday evening, more than 15 flights were converted to Indira Gandhi International Airport due to dust storm in Delhi and its surrounding areas. Dial, associated with the airport operation, shared information on the X platform, stating that many flights have been affected at the airport due to bad weather. Passengers are advised to get the latest information related to flight from their respective airlines.
IndiGo Airlines also informed that flights and landing are being affected due to dust storm in the National Capital Region and Jaipur, causing congestion in air traffic. This may delay flights or change their passage.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region. The department has warned of adverse weather during the next few hours. This dust storm has come for the second time this week in Delhi and its surrounding areas. Electricity supply in some areas has also come to a standstill due to strong winds, although there is no news of any major damage at the moment. Thunderstorms have also received light rain at some places, as the Meteorological Department had earlier estimated.
