Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Orders Strict Measures Against Merry School Fee Violations

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a firm stand against unauthorized fee hikes, directing stringent action against Merry School in Model Town, identified as Queen Mary School, following complaints from parents.

Aam Aadmi Party is constantly attacking the Delhi government on this issue. The party alleges that as soon as BJP came to power, private schools are increasing fees arbitrarily. However, Rekha Gupta has warned private schools on this issue. Not only this, she has also talked about sending them notices. She has said that if any private school increases fees, they will be sent notices. They will have to decide accountability. If despite this the schools increase the fees, then they will have to bear the consequences. Along with this, CM Rekha Gupta is also preparing to take action against a school.

Mery School Model Town faces Probe

Actually today some parents of children approached CM Rekha Gupta with a complaint of fee hike, after which the Chief Minister called the officer and ordered action. Giving information about this, CM Rekha Gupta said on the social media platform X, today during the Jan Samvad program, a case related to Queen Mary School, Model Town came to light, in which the parents of the children lodged a complaint of wrongly collecting fees and expelling the children from the school.

Delhi CM cracks down on Fee Hike

He further said, taking immediate cognizance of this matter, the concerned officials have been instructed to investigate immediately and take strict and necessary action. The Delhi government is fully committed to transparency, equal opportunity and protection of children's rights in the field of education. Zero tolerance policy has been adopted for any kind of injustice, exploitation or irregularity - no laxity will be accepted in this. Our resolution is clear - every child should get justice, respect and quality education.

Delhi CM orders strict orders against Fee Hike Violation

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, "Parents of children from some schools are constantly meeting me and telling me their problems. It is certain that no school has the right to harass any parent or child, or threaten to expel them from school or increase the general fees. There are rules and laws for this, which are very important to be followed. If any school is found violating this, then it will have to suffer. We have issued notices to all the schools against which complaints are coming.
