Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central, Devesh Kumar Mahla, emphasized the meticulous planning involved: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the counting day across all seven centres in Delhi. The strong room cum counting centres have been strictly following guidelines set by the Election Commission of India. Our forces are deployed accordingly, with adequate Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel to maintain order.Traffic Advisory IssuedIn anticipation of the event, the Delhi traffic police have issued a comprehensive advisory to manage traffic flow effectively. Key roads will experience restrictions and diversions starting from 5:00 am on June 4 to facilitate unhindered movement around the counting centres.According to the advisory, Wazirabad Road (Mangal Pandey Road) will be closed for general traffic from 5:00 am onwards, with diversions starting at Gagan Cinema T-Point.Commuters are urged to avoid these routes during the specified hours. Special attention has been given to areas like Commonwealth Games Village and Akshardham, where traffic restrictions will be in place due to the counting proceedings. We request commuters to cooperate by using alternate routes and public transport to minimize disruption, the advisory added.Public Cooperation and SafetyAuthorities have appealed to the public for cooperation during this period of heightened activity. We urge the general public and motorists to exercise patience, adhere to traffic regulations, and follow instructions from traffic personnel stationed at intersections, emphasized the Delhi traffic police.
